Fall is around the freaking corner. Well, not for my ass, I live in Tampa. But that's neither here nor there. I found this great article onHuffington Post breaking down the Fall trends for 2013. Believe it or not, most of the trends are plus size friendly. Take a look below or at the article for wardrobe inspiration. Be careful with the Fall trend #3. Over-the-thigh boots are not always kind to big girls. I recommend flat thigh-high boots, but do you if you can pull off over-the-thigh boots.
Kimye finally released photos of baby North. I can admit that I wasn't expecting her to be this damn cute.
Harpers Bazaar set Gabourey Sidibe's ass up! It's sad that a so-called fashion magazine couldn't find decent plus sized clothing for Gaby. It's also sad and pathetic that Gaby went along with this bullshit.
Super politician Cory Booker announced that he was running for New Jersey Senate. I can't wait until his presidency.
Beyonce cut her split ends, and the world went nuts.
She then threw this on her head a few days later.
Kelly Price duped the entire world. I don't know how she hid her evil ass personality from the public. I'm still hurting over this.
OPRAH SLAYED IN THE BUTLER!
It was all a hoax! I knew this story was fishy when his publicist said he booked a show.
Uncle Rush dissed Harriet Tubman in an ignorant disgusting comedy video. I think coke and white women have made Uncle Rush out of touch.
RIP Jett Jackson
50th Anniversary of the March on Washington. Keep the dream alive!
Why do people ask questions they really don’t want to know the answer to? Have you ever thought about that? I'm referring to the question “How are you feeling?” or any question where people are asking about your well being. People ask me that question all the time and always without hesitation respond with “ok” or “fine”, even when that’s not the case.
Last night I thought about what would happen if I was honest with the world and really stated how I felt. The next time I’m asked that question, I could respond with “horny” or “anxious to get away from you”. The latter maybe a rude response, but why should I lie when you asked the question. As I go deeper in my mind about this I am reminded of my southern upbringing, where polite always trumps honesty. I can remember my mom grooming me and my brothers about social etiquette and taboos. I was raised to give the appearance that everything is always ok even if it wasn't. This tradition is something held so dear to southern society that it is considered unthinkable to not always have a smile on your face. My mom loves to say, “As long as God woke you up this morning, you shouldn't have anything to complain about”. Well life isn't like that. I’m not always “fine” or “ok”. I should be able to express that rather than giving an inauthentic automated response. JUST A THOUGHT.
So I decided to make a U Part wig after seeing them in stores for $1200. You know me, I head to YouTube and watch 5 videos. You can learn how to do anything on YouTube!
What you will need:
1) Dome cap ( or wig cap with the adjustable strip)
2) Needle and thread
3) Wig clips ( I used a headband that I cut and sewed into the wig ...I DO NOT suggest you do that)
4) Wig head
Now you can use any kind of hair you like. I brought 4 bundles of unprocessed Brazilian hair with loose waves. The total for all of the items i used was under $150. You WILL NOT need 4 bundles of hair, it can be done with 2.5 or 3. It just depends on how full you want your wig to be.
Sew the tracks to the cap. Use the same method you use for Sew-Ins.
You can sew all the hair you want in a U Part wig. You need to decide how much of your real hair you want to leave out. I only wanted to leave a small part out.
Once you've finished sewing your hair in, cut the middle portion of the cap away. The last step is sewing in your wig clips. You're done once those are in!
